Foremost School Principal Announcement
Superintendent Roger Clarke would like to congratulate Corey Steeves who has accepted the position of Principal at Foremost School.
Steeves has been a teacher and educational leader since 2010. For the past three years, he has held the role of Assistant Principal at Ridgeview Central School in La Crete, Alberta. Prior to working in school administration, Steeves taught high school Social Studies and English at La Crete Public School. In addition to a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education, this past spring Steeves completed his Master of Education in Educational Leadership.
"I am extremely honored and excited about the opportunity to work with the students, staff and parents of Foremost School,” says Steeves. “I’ve been connected to rural communities my whole life having grown up in a small town in New Brunswick and working in northern Alberta, so Foremost is a good fit for me and my family. I look forward to meeting everyone and I’m excited to continue building on the exceptional learning and programming already happening at Foremost School.”
“I am very happy to welcome Corey Steeves the Prairie Rose family,” says Superintendent Roger Clarke. “Corey has proven skills as an exceptional teacher and school leader. In addition to being a strong administrator, he’s also focused on building positive school culture and creating effective parent communication. I wish him great success in this new role.”
Corey Steeves will assume the principal position in November, to allow for time to transition from his current role and make the move to southern Alberta.
