History of the Prairies

History came alive at Senator Gershaw's "History of the Prairies" event held on May 25.  It was an event with 11 different presentaitons about a broad range of Canadian History and Native Aboriginal Culture.  Multiple Prairie Rose School Division schools attended for a great day of fun and learning.  Students took part in many events that engaged them in hands on learning that hopefully brought history to life for them. From the rumble of the cannon firing every 15 minutes, the smell of the campfire cooking delicious bannock, the Native dancing, the fun and games of the portage and mini tipis, all the senses are activated in an outstanding educational experience.  Thank you to all who helped and attended the event.
