All About ME!

Biography

I was born in the thriving metropolis of Lethbridge, Alberta. I am an only child, and to keep me occupied my mom taught me to read. By the time I hit junior high I had read Gone with the Wind, The Thorn Birds and all of the Chronicles of Narnia. Don't get me wrong, I read the occasional Sweet Valley High and Choose Your Own Adventure novels as well.

I graduated from the U of L in 1994. I am the "poster child" for a liberal arts education, because I entered the journalism program, but soon decided that working with children was more "my thing". I have taught Grades 4-12 and I have been enjoying my recent stint in high school. In addition to teaching, I look forward to directing our school's annual dinner theatre. It gives me the perfect opportunity to get to know the students outside of the classroom and we raise money for Grade 12 grad. I am also excited about volunteering for student council this year.

I love to read, shop, run, shop, and lift weights. In addition, I enjoy camping with my husband and daughter as well as shopping.

Gershaw is a great school and I consider myself lucky to teach here. Go Gators Go!
